Our Bremwood Residential Treatment Center in Waverly has a long history of serving trauma-impacted kids in Iowa. LSI is looking for a compassionate, dedicated full-time Caseworker to empower these children toward success in the northern service area; based in Waverly.

 

Duties

The Caseworker will provide direct service to children on Bremwood's campus in several ways, including:

            - Assessment and diagnostic skills

            - Treatment modalities

            - Crisis intervention

            - Case management

            - Advocacy

 

Other duties may include authoring treatment plans, progress reports, and other reports that may be requested.

The Caseworker also oversees treatment services provided to children on campus.  Offer flexible scheduling, holidays off, and a competitive position to help you grow as an individual and network with others. LSI provides great training and opportunities for growth in this position.

Caseworkers are required to do some traveling each week depending on where the families are located. We do the majority of our time with the clients in the afternoon and evenings, as the clients are in school. Case workers are part of a leadership team and partner directly with our program supervisors. Case workers are required to meet with the families and clients weekly.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for this job will have either:

            - A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field, plus two years of full-time work related experience

            - A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling

 

This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and the criminal history check.
