Are you looking to make a positive impact in your community? Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) seeks a Community Engagement Coordinator to lead the resource development efforts of the newly created Sioux City office of LSI's Refugee and Immigrant Services. This role will be critical in helping acquire and maintain the necessary volunteer, in-kind, financial, and employment resources needed to support the programs and services offered in the region.

What You'll Do

Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, and steward relationships to ensure increased and sustainable resource support for LSI's Refugee and Immigrant Services in Sioux City and the surrounding region. Serve as the liaison and relationship manager with area employers to understand and connect to employment opportunities for LSI clients. Develop and maintain relationships with faith communities, civic organizations, and individuals to meet annual goals related to the programs volunteer, in-kind, and financial needs. Develop and manage a community engagement plan to maximize and grow the pool of various community resources and partners needed. Work collaboratively with other members of philanthropy and church relations, refugee and immigrant services, marketing and communications teams and other key partners to enhance financial outcomes and community engagement for Refugee and Immigrant Services and LSI as an agency.

What You'll Need

Required: Bachelor's degree and minimum of two years experience in development (professional fundraising experience) or related field such as sales or marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record and the ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check.
