Our Refugee and Immigrant Services lift up hundreds of new Iowans each year through educational classes, family wellness programming, and economic development. Our Global Greens team reconnects new Iowa farmers with the land as they learn about U.S. agriculture and start their own small farming businesses. From supporting farmers as they sell produce at our annual market and CSA to helping them access their own land to grow food, you can make a difference and empower your newest neighbors.

What You'll Do

The Farm Content Development Specialist is responsible for developing picture-based and plain language audio/visual learning content on topics pertinent to farmers with limited English. Specialist will partner with other members of the Global Greens team and a national Community of Practice of incubator farms to turn best practices into tools and resources. The Specialist will also be the key point of contact and coordinator for all projects focused on educational content development. Topics will be focused on conservation agriculture and market topics specific to farming in the Midwest. Goal of the project is to create content and materials that farmers, community trainers and educators can view and utilize, both in hard copy or online versions. Project and funding is time-limited.

What You'll Need

Required: A bachelors degree and minimum of one year experience designing and building professional learning content for adults. Experience may be considered in lieu of education but will require a minimum two years related experience and course work in relevant area.

Preferred applicants will have experience developing learning content specific conservation agriculture for farmers with limited English.

Preferred applicants will have technical skills with photography, graphic design and general layout design for guides and printouts, as well as video development and experience using software for photo and video editing and graphic and content design.
