Are you looking to make a positive impact in your community? Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) seeks a Service Coordinator to lead the Sioux City office of LSI's Immigrant & Refugee Community Services. Services include resettlement and other empowerment, integration programs for Afghan evacuees as well as other refugee and immigrant populations in the Siouxland region and NW Iowa.
What You'll Do
The Service Coordinator will be responsible for providing successful development, operations and management of Refugee and Immigrant Services programs within the service area. Will write and develop grant proposals in partnership with the Manager of Grant Writing and help to sustain and grow financial support for the local program. The Coordinator serves as a liaison with partnering organizations, ethnic communities and other community organizations. Hire, train and supervise program staff, ensure compliance with contracts and adjust programming to meet the needs of the changing refugee and immigrant population. Service provision oversight and support may occur during normal business hours, after hours, or on weekends.
What You'll Need
Required: Advanced degree in health or human services related field preferred or a Bachelors degree in a related field and 3 or more years related experience supervising or managing similar programs and services. Preference for experience managing immigrant and refugee services.
This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record and the ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check.
